Andrei Nekrasov's documentary about the life and death of his good friend Alexander Litvinenko is probably amazing to watch for those of us who speak spy ! I don't. I was totally fascinated by this film though, to the point that I watched it three times. I tried very hard to understand what these somber ex-secret agents, spies and mostly bad guys were talking about : with or without subtitles, I didn't get it. I understood there were very somber machinations and dealings in the dark. It all sounded and looked like the polonium graph : lots of dots, lots of connections for a maze and a mess of oblique intrigues. The problem wih this documentary is that Nekrasov didn't know enough or couldn't tell what he knew, or was afraid to do so which resulted in lots of mumbo jumbo and it's to bad. Hopefully the investigation is not over.
Le documentaire d'Andrei Nekrasov sur la vie et la mort de son ami Alexander Litvinenko est fascinant à regarder pour ceux d'entre nous qui parlent l'espion couremment. Moi pas parler espion et pas comprendre des masses ! Ca ne m'a pas empêchée d'être absolument fascinée par cet excercice de haut vol question langue de bois. Pas un micron d'information mais beaucoup d'allusions, de sous-entendus, d'indices tout aussi cryptiques, obscurs et confus les uns que les autres. Soit l'univers des espions est bien compliqué soit il est en fait un univers proche de celui des illusionnistes, et je pencherai volontiers pour la deuxième hypothèse. Quoi qu'il en soit, c'est bien triste de voir ce pauvre Litvinenko mourir dans d'atroces souffrances probablement pour pas grand chose. Le problème avec ce documentaire c'est que Nekrasov n'en savait pas assez, en savait rop ou avait peur de dire ce qu'il savait. Peu importe, au fond il ne dit pas grand chose et c'est bien ça le problème. A suivre... en tous cas, je l'espère.
